TP-Link Archer C64 review: a router for those who don't want to overpay
Why pay for something that you just won't use?

Previously, we have already done reviews of routers. For example, TP-Link Archer AX73 AX5400 turned out to be a very cool solution – a kind of "combine", which not only distributes Wi-Fi, but can also become the center of the multimedia system. Mercusys Halo H50G AC1900 showed itself as a good Mesh-system, designed for home use without much pretension.
However, all of these are not the cheapest devices. But what about the person who just needs a quality router for a relatively small apartment? Which device to choose if you don't need the actual ones? In this case, if you do not want to suffer from excessive savings, but you do not want to overpay for unnecessary features. In general, I decided to pay attention to TP-Link Archer C64, the cost of which at the time of writing is a little over three thousand rubles.
Design and equipment
As always, we start with the box. It is an illustration of product continuity, because all TP-Link products are packed in boxes in the same blue and purple color scheme:

The router itself is very compact. Without the antennas, its dimensions would be 120 × 120 × 28 mm. The weight is 230 grams.
At the bottom, like many competitors, there are holders for attaching the device to the wall:
The antennas are fixed, but it is possible to adjust them to about 180° along the router itself, as well as 45° away from it.
On the back are a power connector, a WPS/reset button, and five Ethernet ports. The blue one is the main one. Here you have to connect the cable with the incoming gigabit signal. The remaining four yellow ones are used to connect various devices, be it a computer, TV or a set-top box. They are also Gigabit.
Unlike more expensive Archer AX73, Archer C64 doesn't shine with royal gloss. It's purely utilitarian matte plastic without any vents.
