The series closed in 2022 for its sixth season. Despite the fact that many of the lines the authors have logically completed, there is enough space for plot development, and there is a literary continuation of the story. Perhaps there will be new seasons if the show is bought out by another platform (the series was produced by Prime Video).
If the series "One of Us" isn't enough for you: top sci-fi projects of different years
Missing the upbeat and exciting sci-fi? On January 15, the series "Alone With Us" starts and is sure to give you a lot of emotions. If that's not enough for you, here's another selection of sci-fi from different eras and for different tastes.
HBO's long-awaited film adaptation of The Last of Us, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramseyis finally coming out on January 15. This project can be classified as both a horror and a sci-fi project, because it is not a fantasy, but one of the possible scenarios (depending on which way the scientific wind blows).
In honor of the release of The Last of Us, our soul demands a continuation of the sci-fi banquet. And we invite you to watch a timeless classic of the genre (without Star Trek, but its presence is felt in almost every show listed) and some new stuff.
Disclosure: epidemics, viruses, and zombies will not be on the list..
"The Twilight Zone (1959-1964).
You can't make a list of memorable sci-fi series and not include the original "Twilight Zone." The project was launched by CBS Television in the mid-20th century, and it is considered one of the best anthologies to accommodate stories with ambiguous endings about aliens, various monsters and, of course, people with powers (and vices). It's all thanks to and based on the stories of Rod Serling, who created the so-called "here-and-now" concept on television (and he's one of the first to try to break the "fourth wall").
This show is a classic of the genre, whose influence can be felt in many TV series and films that came after ("Beyond the Possible", "Startrek", "A Nightmare on Elm Street", "The X-Files", the list would be endless). And of course, most of all, the spirit of the "Twilight Zone" tried to revive in the updated "Twilight Zone" from the same CBS.

Science fiction is a universal genre of cinema, inextricably linked to both the social and political conflicts of our time. The cyclical nature of human history proves that we all live according to the same algorithm of the system, relevant not only now, but also in the future.
In 2022, sci-fi reigned supreme both in commercial cinema and at European festivals, with stories unfolding both within large-scale blockbusters and in the locations of low-budget indie dramas. Collected eight of the year's top sci-fi films.
Clone (2022)
Dual
Thriller, sci-fi
Director: Riley Stearns
Starring: Karen Gillan, Aaron Paul, Bela Coale, Theo James, Elina Jackson
Premiere: May 19, 2022.
► Watch for 1 ₽.
Karen Gillan stars in a still from "Clone."
The dystopian sci-fi film "Clone" from "The Art of Self-Defense" director Riley Stearns is set in an alternate future where everyone has the ability to create a clone, but there is no chance to get rid of one in peace. The film's protagonist, a young woman named Sarah (Karen Gillan), receives a fatal diagnosis from doctors and prepares for an imminent demise. In the hope of somehow mitigating the loss to her loved ones, Sarah creates a double, which suddenly turns out to be qualitatively better than the original version. The new Sarah has a great sense of humor, a unique social flexibility, and skin without a single flaw. The new Sarah replaces the heroine while she is still alive, and the latter is only forced to watch helplessly as she remains completely alone. And if in "The Art of Self-Defense" director Riley Stearns was ironic about toxic masculinity, in "Clone" he was ironic about toxic femininity and about a society that, despite all the sci-fi entourage, still lives in the trap of contrived and empty stereotypes.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
2001: A Space Odyssey
adventure, sci-fi
Director: Stanley Kubrick
Starring: Keir Dulli, Gary Lockwood, William Silvester, Daniel Richter, Leonard Rossiter
Premiere: August 30, 2018
Still from "2001: A Space Odyssey."
Stanley Kubrick's film about a space expedition in search of a mysterious black monolith is a philosophical visionary tale without beginning or end. The reputation of "The Odyssey" was initially controversial both in critical circles and among the director's colleagues. Some reviews openly ridiculed the picture, and Andrei Tarkovsky, for example, called it "unnatural" and "sterile". However, it is these heated debates that best explain the phenomenon of the film itself. Its revolutionary nature lies not only in the fact that it is a complex and incredibly beautiful science fiction about facets of human civilization. More importantly, The Odyssey has forced and continues to force people into irreconcilable discussions: dialogues about the film's meaning, its overrated or undervalued potential, and fan theories and interpretations. It's a movie that is ingrained in the subcortex and lives its own life, no longer dependent on the big screen.
